“Your strength shall lie in silence and hope.” From the Carmelite Rule: Isaiah 30:15

In the face of such unspeakable suffering in Japan, we, the member communities of CCA, pledge to stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in that part of the world in silent prayer. We carry in our hearts the anguish of those affected by this disaster and ask God to relieve their burden by the assurance of our care. We feel our helplessness, yet still we reach out - encircling the people of Japan with our compassion hoping that our love, united with people from all over the world, will form a light strong enough to penetrate the darkness of their sorrow bringing comfort and hope.
